I am
contacting you urgently because I am looking for an internship period (between 3 and 5 months)
between April and September 2017 in
order to put into practice the knowledge and skills acquired at school and to
extend my professional experience in a sector for which I am passionate about,
the wine world. Indeed, at the time of signing my traineeship agreement, they
ultimately turned down my application because of internal problems in the
company.



I am currently
in year of CEI (Certificate of International Experience, equivalent to master’s
1 degree) in AgroParisTech (ex-Institut National Agronomique Paris-Grignon). At
the moment, I am doing an internship as a wine merchant importing French wines
in Peru for their distribution on the Latin American market.



From
viticulture to marketing of wine, including the wine-making processes, I keep
informed on the latest news via specialized press (La revue des Vins de France in particular) which enables me
to acquire sound knowledge about French vineyards and their grape varieties. In
my first year, I took a course entitled “The wine industry” in which we studied
the wine production sector extensively, in order to have a general and
transversal overview of the wine industry, as well as an evaluation of the
different production and transformation strategies from a technical,
environmental, agronomical and economical point of view.



I am
also member of the œnological association of the school through which I have
organized throughout the years many tasting and oenological presentations with
wineries (like Krug, Cheval Blanc...) as well as an international oenological
competition, the Challenge AgroVinoTech (Cav’it). This event, organized in
association with the House Ruinart, brought together prestigious schools
(Polytechnique, HEC, Oxford, Cambridge...) on a common interest, wine.



In my fourth year of higher education I
specialized in agri-food engineering, I have studied various aspects of the production
line: microbial transformation to the development of agri-food product, process
engineering, quality engineering and industrial productivity. I am also
passionate about marketing, logistical and commercial aspects in companies, I
have always chosen my optional modules with the relation to these subjects:
«economic analysis », « aid-decision method in companies »,
« product marketing », « optimization and logistics », «
innovation management ». I have already put into practice this knowledge
during my internship at Matahi, the first French energy drink certified bio, in
which I was responsible for business development in the southern area of France
(region of Occitanie and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes).



The ability to combine this passion and my
professional ambition is very important for me, even more so in a new country
for me for which I look forward to discovering this “terroir” and this culture,
and this also increases my motivation to do an internship in this sector.
